Alterac City is the capital city of the Kingdom of Alterac. It lies in the snowy mountains at the center of the Alterac Mountains.

Alterac is one of the seven Human nations. It is situated in the foothills and mountains of the land known as the Alterac Mountains. Ruled by King Aiden Perenolde, Alterac is the weakest kingdom and a relatively small contributor of soldiers and supplies.
   Despite pledging his kingdom to the Alliance of Lordaeron, King Perenolde is actually in league with King Greymane of Gilneas and Trade Prince Steamwheedle of Steamwheedle Cartel.
